Feyenoord was founded on July 19, 1908. The club finishes its home games in the iconic Stadion Feijenoord, which is also known as De Kuip. The stadium has room for 51 117 spectators.
Feyenoord won the European Cup I and the World Cup in 1970 and twice the UEFA Cup was won. Last season, the team from Rotterdam became national champions for the sixteenth time and a total of thirteen KNVB Cups were won.
The Rotterdam side had a mixed 2023/24 season, marked mainly by injuries. Under Dane Daniel Priske as manager, they won the Supercup. Feyenoord achieved some excellent results in the Champions League, but dropped too many points in the league. Priske was fired, and club icon Robin van Persie has since taken over as manager.
