Schalke 04 was founded on 4 May 1904. Die Koningsblauen were seven times national champion. The last time was already in 1958. Five times the German Cup was seized and once the German Super Cup was won. Schalke also has one international prize in the trophy cabinet, namely a UEFA Cup. This was won in 1997.

Schalke 04 was active in the Second Bundesliga last season. The aim was to immediately return to the highest level. The first months were tough for the fallen top club. Promotion therefore seemed far out of sight. However, as the competition progressed, Schalke got better and better and started to string up victories. The club became champions and will be promoted back to the Bundesliga!
The team of players such as Simon Terodde and Andreas Vindheim is having a very difficult time at the highest level this season and will have to do everything after the winter break to ensure that Schalke will maintain itself.
