Hertha Berlin was founded in 1892 and is therefore one of the oldest clubs in Germany. The club plays its home games in the immense Olympia Stadium, where 74 475 spectators fit into it.
Not far before the end of last season, Felix Magath was appointed to keep the club nicknamed Die Alte Dame in the Bundesliga. He replaced Tayfun Korkut who left Hertha in the relegation zone. After a blood-curdling confrontation in the promotion/relegation play-offs, Magath Hertha managed to keep BSC for the Bundesliga. This season, the team will be coached by Sandro Schwarz.
Hertha became champion of Germany twice and won the German Cup once. The team is home to some good players, including German international Marvin Plattenhardt (Germany) and the Montenegrin Stevan Jovetić.
